Layered Pink Flamingo
Hello happy crafters, hope you are all having a wonderful day thus far. Today I wanted to show you another simple card using essential just 3 supplies. All you need will be a layer stamp, perfect pearls or any other fine mica powders & an embossing pad, I used a clear VERSAMARK ink.
The main principle is to chose which part of the layered image you would like to have bedazzled, this part should not have any other layers topped on to it (preferably). For the flamingo, I chose the legs and it's beak. Next, I used an anti-static powder to prep the area where the legs were going to go.
I used clear VERSAMARK ink and a stamp positioner to get the water ripples and the legs where I wanted them. I stamped a few times just to make sure I had full coverage. I then used Confetti White PERFECT PEARLS to lightly dust over the stamped area. I used a Swiffer cloth for a quick clean up.
I then did the body with DISTRESS INK - Raspberry for each layer. I made sure each layer had a few minutes to dry before during the next layer. When I did the third layer, the colour difference was not obvious, so I dried the surface with my RANGER heat gun and then added another layer of Raspberry ink with my third layer of the stamp.
I let my flamingo dry for half a day while I did other things and then heat dried it with my heat gun before dusting it with my anti-static powder. I wanted the beak and eyes of the flamingo to match its legs. Again, I used my clear VERSAMARK ink and a stamp positioner to stamp the beak. I triple stamped it just to have full coverage but was sure not to press the stamp down too hard which will cause the loss of detail. Then I dusted the area with White Confetti and cleaned up with a Swiffer.
I cut the panel down to 3.5 x 5 inches, then mounted it on black cardstock with dry adhesive. I stamped the sentiment on the same cardstock as the panel and cut it out in the shape of a banner. I used Raspberry to stamp the sentiment and dusted it with White Confetti to give it some sparkle. I used some foam tape to adhere it to the top left corner of the card.
Inside the card, I die cut a piece of light pink paper to allow for some place to write a greeting.
That concludes my card for today, if you like what you have read, consider subscribing to get notifications when I have a new post . Happy crafting.
